Here is a fantastic hand-crafted 2002 Seattle Mariners "boy" bobblehead by Twins Enterprise (which would soon become '47 Brand). Note the American flag on the back of the boy's uniform, too. This was in response to the events of 9/11/2001.
This bobblehead is 99% perfect, but there is one thing you need to be aware of: At the bottom of the boy's left ear, there is a small chip. In the Twins bobblehead world, this type of imperfection is not uncommon and is not considered a detriment to the value of the product. Besides, it should be an easy fix for the collector who has done any skin-tone touch-up in the past with Twins' bobbleheads. Check out the photos and see for yourself. Made in China.
ABOUT BOBBLEHEAD PHOTOS ON THIS SITE: We offer different types of bobbleheads on this site:
"USED" bobbleheads which have been opened, displayed, repackaged, etc. All photos for those bobbleheads are unique to the bobblehead you are looking at; we don't use "stock" photos as those can be misleading and/or dishonest.
"NOS (New Old Stock)" bobbleheads are those we obtained in which the contents are new, but the box/packaging may exhibit some wear from storage/handling/etc. These, too, have unique photos for reasons cited in the paragraph above, as the product may have some blemishes.
It is also important that you read and be aware of the following:
Older Twins bobbleheads are very susceptible to chipping and/or flaking; a primary cause of this is due to the fact that over time the plastic shell the bobblehead is packaged in for protection will -- ironically -- become brittle and can actually contribute to friction-related chipping/flaking issues, rather than protect the bobblehead as intended. In the Twins bobblehead world, this type of imperfection is not uncommon and is not considered a detriment to the value of the product.
While the logical solution would seem to be simply removing the shell and wrapping the bobblehead in bubble plastic or similar protection, it then becomes an issue for collectors who insist the bobblehead be delivered as originally packaged. We have tried to create a "best of both worlds" scenario by adding thin pieces of Styrofoam to the friction points of the packaging of SELECT bobbleheads. While we are certain it helps, we cannot be 100% certain that issues had not already started with the bobble prior to the addition of thin Styrofoam protection and may possibly present themselves during shipment. Nor can we be certain that all potential chipping/flaking areas have been addressed.
Because of this possibility -- as well as questionable claims by some customers in the past -- all sales of bobbleheads are "AS IS" and the customer acknowledges and understands damage is possible during shipment. There will be no returns, exchanges, refunds, or anything else related to any bobblehead damage or degradation. The customer understands and agrees that ALL SALES ARE FINAL with any and all bobbleheads purchased from this site. It's the only way we can continue to offer bobbleheads for sale from this site.
